About the author

Frances Stickley is a primary school teacher who first realised her love for writing with the poem, ‘My Dad’s Milkfloat’, when she was six. She is an award-winning academic, a trained chidren’s literacy specialist, and winner of the Bloomsbury and National Literacy Trust short story prize 2017. She lives with her family and a big-eared dog in Derbyshire. And when she is not writing, you’ll find her in the forest pretending to be a dragon with her daughters.

About the illustrator

Kristyna Litten is a children’s book writer and illustrator. She has written and illustrated several books for children, including Chickens Can’t See in the Dark, as well as created artwork for book covers and magazines. She lives in Yorkshire.
