Description

Will the consequences of a turbulent and misguided childhood ruin Marion Kent’s life, or those closest to her?

After a string of vengeful acts, someone wants justice, and someone will pay the ultimate price for the past, but who will it be?

Extract… ‘Sit back, lay back, stop what you are doing and enjoy the Fab Four and ‘I’m a Loser” the radio announcer enthusiastically suggested. Drifting through the workshop came the lyrics: I’m a loser, and I lost someone who’s near to me. I’m a loser, and I’m not what I appear to be. Of all the love I have won, and have lost There is one love I should never have crossed Like a dentist’s drill hitting the rawest of nerves, the words bounced off the galvanized iron walls of the industrial shed. “I’m a loser, too bloody true, Lennie,” he said softly to himself, as he suddenly burst into tears. The tears came as a complete surprise. They first mortified him because of the weakness he believed they signified, and then they consoled him. “You weak prick,” he sobbed as he wiped the tears from his face. “How am I going to handle this now?” he thought, as he looked closely, through tear-stained eyes at the naked wheel hub above his head. “I’ve got a baby on the way, yet I am on the bones of my arse. Is this brilliant news or one more kick in the guts?” His head was spinning from so many options, but the analysis stopped when a greasy hand brushed the shortened handle on the trolley jack he had recently modified. This was followed by an unfamiliar noise, then one and a half ton of ageing British motoring excess quickly came to rest on his troubled skull.
